An inspectable chain from source to conclusion
CliqueMap is designed so that every conclusion in a brief can be followed back through claims and passages to a specific, dated source version.
The chain
- 1
Source material
Documents, configuration, records, and notes you are permitted to use.
- 2
Versioned artifacts
Each version keeps its own date and identifier, and excerpts point back to exact locations.
- 3
Entities and relationships
Systems, identities, organizations, and how sources say they relate.
- 4
Claims and evidence
Each claim has supporting and contradicting passages, and is labeled by kind and review state.
- 5
Investigation and brief
A question, the current interpretation, open items, and citations in one reviewable page.
Four kinds of claim, kept apart
Mixing these up produces confident conclusions with weak support, so each kind is labeled on screen and in every brief.
- Source assertion
- What a source says. Example: “The report worker reads only from billing-exports” (Architecture overview v3, §4.2, 2026-03-02).
- Extraction
- Something read from a source’s structure or text. Example: policy revision 17 contains a time-limited read grant on customer-records.
- Reviewed interpretation
- A reviewer’s conclusion over cited evidence, shown with its review state. Example: “The restriction plausibly holds after 2026-07-08, but this is unconfirmed.”
- Superseded
- A historical claim that a later version replaced. It is kept for history. Example: the v2 overview’s description of two queues.
All examples are from the fictional dataset in the walkthrough.
Capability status
| Capability | What it is for | Public status |
|---|---|---|
| Versioned source records | Keep each source version, its date, and where excerpts came from. | In development |
| Entity resolution | Recognize when different sources refer to the same system, organization, or document. | In development |
| Claims with supporting and conflicting evidence | Link each claim to the exact passages that support it or cut against it. | In development |
| Time-aware relationships | Show when a relationship was stated, observed, or replaced. | In development |
| Permission-aware retrieval | Check access before retrieving, expanding, or exporting evidence. | In development |
| Investigations and briefs | Collect a question, its evidence, and its open items into a reviewable brief. | In development |
A capability is shown as available only when there is dated test evidence for it and an owner release approval. Passing tests do not change this table on their own.
Not shown here, because no work on them has been verified: live connectors, hosted or private deployment options, and automated contradiction detection. They will appear here only once there is something real to describe.
